Louisiana Barber Academy offers 3 programs: Barber/Stylist, Cosmetology Crossover & Barber Instructor. 

 Program Cost

• School Enrollment Fee (Non refundable after 3 business days after signing this agreement) = $100
• Student Kit, Jacket, Cape, School Shirts, and Books (non-refundable & non returnable after issuance) = $1900
• Program Tuition = $11,400
• Total Cost of Program  $13,400 

• Additional Fees:
• State Board Registration/Licensing Fee (pd. when enrolling) - $90
• State Board Exam Fee (pd. upon program completion) - $50
• Note-Station supplies are purchased separately by the student: a recommended list will be given

TUITION PAYMENT OPTIONS 

• Pay the TOTAL COST Upfront = $13,400  or
• Choose the PAYMENT PLAN 

• PAYMENT PLAN OFFERED---Interest Free 
• $100–School Enrollment Fee–-non-refundable after three (3) business days after signing the Enrollment Agreement form.
• +$1,900 Kit/School Shirt/Book Fee- non-refundable and non-returnable after they have been issued to the student.
• +$1,000 Program Tuition Fee
• =$3,000 DOWNPAYMENT Payable to Louisiana Barber Academy to begin classes & a $90 fee for State Board Registration. You will pay the fee directly to LBA, and LBA will send the fee for you. 

Remaining Balance 

FULL TIME→$10,400 Remaining Balance–11 payments of $946 every month due on either the 1st or 15th

PART TIME→$10,400 Remaining Balance–17 payments of $612 every month due on either the 1st or 15th 

• $50 State Board Exam Fee -due upon completion of the program 
• Payment methods accepted: cash, credit or debit card, money order, cashier’s check - No personal checks 

Exceeding Your Contract 

• Your contract is written to cover a specific time period. You must complete the course within this time frame. If you do not graduate within the time frame agreed upon in this contract, you will be charged additional daily training fees of $9 per hour. This fee is charged regardless of your absences or attendance (unless there was an approved Leave of Absence). You will be charged these fees until you reach the number of hours required to graduate.

Louisiana Barber Academy currently cannot accept federal or state financial aid.  We will be working toward accreditation. Schools must be in operation for a couple of years and complete the accreditation process before becoming eligible to offer federal financial aid programs. Once accreditation is achieved, the school will pursue approval to participate in federal student aid programs. However, we do have an INTEREST FREE monthly payment plan along with a down payment.  

Barber/Stylist Program=1500 Clock Hours

--Full-time- 32.5 hours per week  →   Monday to Friday–8:30 am to 4:00 pm (lunch 12:30 to 1:30)  

*approximately 12 months to complete the program 

--Part-time- 20 hours per week →   Monday to Friday--  8:30 am to 12:30 pm  OR  2 pm to 6 pm  OR 5pm to 9pm

*approximately 18.5 months to complete the program

Cosmetology Crossover Program=600 Clock Hours

20 Hours per week    →Monday to Friday--  8:30 am to 12:30 pm  OR  2 pm to 6 pm  OR 5pm to 9pm

*approximately 8 months to complete the program 

Barber Instructor Program=500 Clock Hours

20 Hours per week    →  Monday to Friday--  8:30 am to 12:30 pm  OR  2 pm to 6 pm  OR 5pm to 9pm

No, Louisiana Barber Academy does not offer online courses as we believe in providing hands-on training and in-person learning experiences to our students.

• Applicants must be at least 17 years of age
• Applicant must have a high school diploma AND transcript or a passing grade on GED/HISET  

Step #1—-- Pre-Enrollment Application

The following documents need to be turned in with your completed Pre-Enrollment Application:

• Copy of Birth Certificate 
• Copy of Social Security Card 
• Two passport size photos of student-Can be printed at Walgreens
• High school diploma AND transcript or a passing grade on equivalence test (GED/HISET)  

*****In the event of a foreign high-school diploma, the prospective student must provide an equivalency evaluation performed by an outside agency that is qualified to translate documents into English and confirm the academic equivalence to a U.S. high school diploma prior to enrollment.

Step #2—- Pre Enrollment Interview/Inquiry/Information Session

Once your Pre-Enrollment Application Form & other required documents are  turned in, you will be contacted within 1 to 3 business days for a pre-enrollment interview and information session with the owner, Jason Walker. At this session, you will be able to ask questions, and Mr. Jason will share with you information about the program, expectations, the cost of the program, and payment options.  

Step #3— Enrollment Finalization Session

Upon acceptance, you will be notified by email, text, phone call or in person, of your Enrollment Finalization Session date/time.  On this day, you will finalize your enrollment and take care of the payment due.

• Applicant must have a valid Louisiana Cosmetology License

• Once the course is completed, the applicant can’t apply for the Instructor License until he/she has one year of barbering experience.
